Great result - now let's all pull together to bring back the good times at Longton

Well done to all the players, coaches, etc. who have battled so hard over the last four or five weeks to maintain our place in Midlands 1 and our status as the highest placed club in Staffordshire. Saturday's win showed the grit and determination that this group of players have developed and the result, against a big, hard running Kettering side, was thoroughly deserved.
Next week is the Staffs Cup Final, against Stafford, at Burntwood. Let's get there in numbers and give the team as much support as we can. Other clubs bring vocal, enthusiastic supporters to Longton, we should be proud of our Club and do the same.
After all the problems and set backs of the last few months, this has been an amazing season; with the opening of the clubhouse, another Staffs Cup Final, success at 2nd and 3rd team levels, the revival of our Ladies team and the continued development of our Junior Section. So now we must all pull together to make next season even better.
Remember, our glass is already half full, now lets go for the other half.
