Staffordshire Cup farce yet again

Its that time of year again. I remember last year's debate of Cup or League survival. Here we are again, only this time we find ourselves at the other end of the league.
We need to decide before the start of the season, whether we are entering the Cup or not.
I dont see the point in entering, playing 1 or 2 rounds and then withdrawing. If its not important enough to warrant the whole 1st XV, what about using it as a squad competition and playing a 1st/2nds combined XV?
Clubs opting out of the Staffs Cup devalues the competition and does nothing to improve the mickey mouse standing of Staffs County rugby.
